Greenscale is a controlled environment agriculture company that works to recreate living ecosystems — managing cooperation between fish and plants to deliver food that’s more nutritious, more sustainable, and more local. Our growing system delivers quality and nutrition while being resource disciplined.
Greenscale’s expertise is optimizing the movement of water between two discrete systems, one that produces nutrients and one that absorbs them. Our objective is a zero-pesticide, zero-industrial-fertilizer, highly controlled and traceable growing system that produces highly nutritious vegetables and vegetable extracts. And some nice fish too.
Industrial agriculture helped feed the world – but at a cost to the environment and to the nutrition in our food which has seen a steady decline for the past 70 years. Greenscale offers a new path forward, using new learning about biomes, the role of nitrogen and micronutrients and new technologies for water management and data science to create the next version of modern agriculture.
Our goal is simple: Grow food that’s better for people and better for the planet. We’re committed to using the best of nature and technology – producing high-quality, nutrient-rich food while using fewer resources — and avoiding all the bad stuff.
